I don't know. I only fixed the chips from Sun4c machines... 
Use the generic method: "Dig" carefully from the top into the chip until
you find some metallic stuff, prepare around it, ... at some point you
will see if it is a battery ore a xtal... ;-)

You have two choices: By a new chip, or fix and reuse the old. If you
break the chip while you are trying to fix it, you have to by a new one.
But if the fixing works, you have saved the money. So you have nothing
to loose.
