VAXstatoin 4000/60 1.5C kernel

the ghostscript port does nto work
I Tryd to recompile many times changing the compilatoin optoins removing
the optimizations and going bac kto old packages from 6.01 to 5.50 and
5.10 but the program dies with a 
Illegal instruction (core dumped)

I Also got the ghostscript from the packagse collection pre compiled and
it als ohas this problem
