Guess it helps to think before I post....

Appearantly there IS a driver for the KA640 lance ethernet in the install kernel.
 My problem is that it the install kernel comes up and says:

lance at ibus0:  Device not configured

It works fine to load the kernel but after the kernel is loaded I'm having trouble
ethernet to work.  What could be the issue here?  I've tried different kernels
with no success.  This couldn't be a bootloader issue could it?
