Fazekas,

What computer are you using?  The TK50 is not really supported
(yet) on the Vaxstation 3100.

If it is a Qbus system, I believe you could do something like:

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/rmt0 bs=1024 count=95000

but I haven't tried it.  I also find a bulk tape eraser to 
be particularly effective.
