I have successfully booted my MicroVAX 3100 (m20 I believe) with the
installation set of version 1.4.2 and the boot.mop from the installation
set of 1.4.1.

I used my Linux (RH5.0) box as mop/bootparam/ftp server to get the
binary sets installed on the mVAX [See below].

I followed the path as described in Brian D. Chase's highly educational
document.

(Brian, drink a beer (or other preferred beverage) on my account for
that).

I haven't tried compiling a kernel yet, I haven't got enough disk space
to do that. As a matter of fact, the sysinst utitily is not able to
install a system on a machine that *needs* multiple disks to get a
working environment.

My MV3100 has three 100mb disks (and a tz33 tape unit), and, I believe
4mb of ram, but I'm not sure.
