There was a known problem with 1.4.1 where mopd wouldn't answer the first
request.  Sending subsequent requests worked no problem, tho.  I believe
this problem was found and fixed, but I'm not sure of the current
state.  I don't have the sources in front of me, but I'm a bit curious
about the "not here" messages - you might want to dig around and see what
that's reporting (can't find the file?).

When I was debugging, I found it handy to run mopd with the "-d" option to
see what's going on on the console.
