Have you checked if the DMA transfer is finished when the interrupt
is generated? On machines with 5380 it sometimes generates interrupts
but the DMA hasn't finished (or sometimes hasn't even started!) due
to the FIFO buffer in the DMA chip, so I have to busy-wait until the
buffer is drained.
