Having failed to boot from a tape I am trying to netboot a MicroVAX2000
from a 486 netbsd box.

I have followed Brian Chase's instructions. When I try to boot the VAX
I get:

>>> b/100 esa0

Bootfile: mopboot

-ESA0

%VMB-F-ERR, PC = 0000765
%VMB-I-STS, RO = 000090A

If I try to run mopd in debug mode I get:

#mopd -a -d

mopd not running as a daemon and -d flag used

Can anyone give any advice?

The problem with booting from tape is that the bootloader loads and then
cannot load netbsd. Should I be able to boot this machine from a TK50?
