One gotcha is that Ultrix (and perhaps other non-VMS OS's) doesn't like   
non zero allocation classes.  (ALLOCLASS variable in the NVRAM) Some newer
DSSI drives have a HISPEED NVRAM setting which Ultrix doesn't seem to like
either. It may also pose a gotcha for BSD.
