Compared to the RIGEL, i didn't get the VAX 4000-500 running in 3 hours. Some
evil problems are in there. One is the fact of getting an access violation
during a machine check in the ketnel code to check for a bad address, the other
is the message "ISP ERR" or so just before mounting root fs. Have to look a bit
deeper inside. It looks to me, like the CPU is in a kind of exception state the
whole time, maybe some acknowledge or status reset doesn't work correctly. But
it's not that easy like on RIGEL, to just take the code from a VAXstation with
the same CPU, do some mods here, some there, and it runs... This was possible
with the VAX 4000-300 (VAXstation 3100m76). The VS 4000-90 routines don't work
well on the VAX 4000-500 and 4000-105A i'm trying to port currently.
