Hi Bob,

I _know_ the DQ696 works on 1.4.1 because I use on in my uVAX III and
VS3200. Call Bob DeGroy at DLI/Dilog (949) 476-7171 and ask him to FAX you
the configuration and setup pages from the manual for the 696.

Then use the 'b dua9:' trick to get into the Dilog formatter/tester code
and reformat and test your hard drive. Note how many sectors it has when
you do this.

Boot 1.4.1 and pop into user land. You should see the kernel "see" the
drive as ra0. Make up a disklabel based on the number of sectors in the
drive and use the disklabel command to write it to the drive. Then go back
and run sysinstall.

If you need help creating a label send me email and I'll send you a brief
tutorial.

Nope, its something else. It is possible your disk is hosed.

I guess I wasn't too clear last time. Your SCSI card will *ONLY* talk to
SCSI TAPE drives. If you have something like an Exabyte 8200 you could hook
it up and it would show up as MUB0: or MUA0:

Good luck,
