Bring up a DHCP server instead if you can. The bootparam stuff has sort of
whithered since the DHCP stuff was added. I've only successfully booted the
bootparam way by recompiling boot to try boot params first. I didn't have
time to look deeper into it at the time. I have a 4000 that I'm going to
set up to do builds on and that will certainly make it easier for me to
contribute to testing/debugging.
