    The problem is that you cannot log in as root from either Telnet or FTP.
FTP I think you can remove root security. Telnet I don't think you can. If
you are using Kerberos or ssh you might be able to, I'm not sure. The
question is, why would you want to? Its works safer to su like you should.
That's my opinion anyway.
