The VAX netbooting pages on www.netbsd.org say that the DEQNA is not
supported for netbooting.

Is this still true? If so, what would have to change to fix it?

I've got such a machine. I'd been letting it sit, hoping I'd get a
Qbus SCSI card someday, or perhaps a reasonably large disk that's
compatible with the controller in there. But now I'm developing a
user-level VAX simulator (opcode-level emulation) and it's almost to
the point where it can do compiles, but there seems to be something
wrong with the .o files as generates. So I wanted to bring up a real
VAX to compare it with, to track down the bug in the emulation....

How difficult would it be to boot the machine by loading the kernel
directly with MOP, bypassing the bootloader?
