Does anyone have a set of technical docs on the VLC I could borrow? I would 
really like this thing to be able to run NetBSD reliably and if I had the 
docs I could put another pair of eyes on the porting of it.

As I understand it the two major holes in support for it at the moment are 
the cache and the SCSI interface.
