I have two RZ23s in my VS3100/M38.  I boot from one, use the second for
swap, and have an external disk for the rest of my filesystems.  So unless
my system is lying about them being RZ23s, they work with -current.

The reasons they may be considered to not work might be the disconnect
issue. (there was a patch floating around to disable this)
