If you have a SCSI-disk to spare, you could just dd the
cdboot.fs onto it and boot from there. It should work
the same way as if booted from a CD. If you use linux
to write it to the disk it would be something like
"dd if=cdboot.fs of=/dev/sdb bs=512", just remember to
use a blocksize of 512 (or a even multiple thereof).

If it still doesn't work i guess you're in trouble.
It would suggest that there is something wrong with your
hardware.

If you already have the system booting over the net i
can send you my installkernel. It's the same kernel as
in the CD-image, and you should then be able to install the
system via NFS or FTP.
