Subject: What source tree sections needed for only kernel compiles?

I need to recompile VAXbaby's kernel to accommodate some things that seem
off slightly. I downloaded the source tree and, as expected, it does not
quite fit on VAXbaby's RZ25 drives. So, for the sake of discussion, and
learning on my part, what are the minimal sections of the source tree
that are needed for kernel recompiles? The source tree from 30 OCT 99
swamps the RZ25 at around 400mb.....(:+{{.... I nuked games and gnubeasts,
and that brought it down to around 250mb. What else can be discarded
for kernel only building? I suspect the include and lib trees may be
needed, for sys to compile, but the rest can probably go? What if any
changes need to be made to the makefile?

Once I get the kernel to my liking, I will set up some larger drives on
her (MicroVAX 3100/20) and try a make world..... then go out for a long
winter's nap.....(:+}}..... (how long does a make world take on a
MicroVAX 3100/20?).

What is the drive size limit on the boot drive in NetBSD on a MicroVAX
3100? Can it handle the RZ26 or is that pushing the 1 gig limit too
closely? The RZ26 may work, but I was thinking the RZ26-L was over
the edge? Can someone clarify the limit exactly?

Thanks

Bob
