Congratulations!

I did the hack in sd.c and cd.c, and the newly compiled kernel
works great. I had some really bad problems with the timeouts
when i tried to run some X programs. With the new kernel both
DMA SCSI and ethernet access works great. The new code for the
Lance Ethernet is much faster than the old one. I still get 
the crashes when using xdm to log in, but that might be due to
some other problem. At least the system seems more responsive
than before.
