The new kernel gave some minor improvements on my VS3100m76.
This is the result:

root@calvin:~> dd if=/dev/rsd0c of=/dev/null bs=60k count=1000
1000+0 records in
1000+0 records out
61440000 bytes transferred in 69 secs (890434 bytes/sec)

The improvement in speed was around 30000 bytes/sec.

I haven't tried booting without the /1 flag so i haven't seen
if the new kernel finds the rootpartition yet.

The new kernel was really worth waiting for :-) Keep up the
good, no Great work.
