Hello All,
I recently inherited a number of Emulex SD893 1.8 Gbyte
drives. These have a Seagate "SABRE" HDA module and SDI
interface. Nice drives, but...
The military installation from which they came degaussed
them. They'll spin up but not ready due to the lack of
any usable low-level format data on the platters.
So the question is, are these drives salvageable? If anyone
can reliably reformat them, I'd gladly trade several drives
for the service. Or if you can recommend a vendor it would
be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
