Hi,

yesterday I managed to install (kind of :-) NetBSD-1.4.1 on my
VaxStation3100/M38:
Sysinst booted the first time from the floppy (All other boot floppies
before didn't work on this VaxStation) and therefore I've putted the sets on
a CD and connected a CD-ROM-drive. Although there is a installation option
for CD's, it wasn't possible to access the CD form the installation program
(While booting from floppy there was this message with CD0 and so on, but
inside the /dev directory there's nothing like CD0A or so :-(
Therefore I moved the sets on a spare HD on my NetBSD-PC and attached this
HD to the Vax. The Vax booted from floppy. I mounted the second HD. And
sysinst did his job (Installation from a local directory). After two hours
sysinst told me everything is succesfully installed.
So I booted the first time from the harddisk and everything looked fine, but
then at the end of the boot messages (my hands were already at the keyboard
to login) there appeared this message:

boot device: <unknown>

I will appreciate any help at this point. Thanx in advance.

Wolf
