The subject basically says it all.
I've got some Cray YMP-cpu based vector machines that I'd be =
interested in seeing a port of NetBSD on. Sounds entirely crazy, but, =
well, there aren't any free OS's for Cray boxes.
I move a number of these, and would like to be able to tell a person =
to just grab a copy of such and such OS, and slap it on, then use GNU =
tools, rather than buying a copy of UNICOS for about 10,000 US, then =
support for about 40,000 US per month, etc, etc.
Anyhow, if anyone has any ideas on this sort, I'd be more than glad =
to supply the hardware for them to work on.
And, yes, I am aware that there are a *LOT* of things that would =
need to be written to make it comparable to UNICOS or such, but, well, =
currently my only option is to recommend finding an old copy of CHORUS. =
=3DP
=
Thanks,
=
