Did you create the mountpoint for the swap? Do a
mkdir /swap
on your VAX and try a
swapon -a

I tryed using NFS swap with my VS3100m76 running 1.4. The Server was a
i386 (AMD K6-2) running 1.4. It worked, but was not usable due to a bug
in the pagedaemon. This is / will be fixed in 1.4.1.=20
