Why ?

But a cheap IDE means, that you have "slow" (PLEASE NO DEBATE about this
word slow ;-)) q-bus vaxen, which are polling this ide port. I don't think,
this makes sense. The most faster Vaxen have SCSI already, so this IDE is
only for the MV/MV2/MV3. ( I don't forget the PDP11, but this is not the
Mailinglist for them ;-))

So a Busmaster DMA is the way to go ...
