Hi everyone. I've been interested in running NetBSD on a vax for a
couple months now, and today I became the proud owner of a Vaxstation
4000 model 60. I have a couple questions I'm hoping someone out there
can answer. Firstly, some information about the vax. It has an
internal 400 MB SCSI HD and an External 1GB SCSI HD. It also has an
external SCSI CDROM which is not connected. When I start it I get the
machine's MAC address as well as:
KA46-A V1.1- 31E - V4.0.
Typeing "SHOW DEV" shows:
ESA0 (MAC ADDRESS)
DKA200 A/2/0 DISK 1.06GB FX - CFP1060
DKA300 A/3/0 DISK 426.25MB FX - RZ25
My question is: Because the SCSI controller in VS4000M60 is not
supported, is it impossible to install netbsd on this machine?
Thanks for your help.
