Darn.  I screwed that up...  :)

Anyway, the problem here isn't that the device is being deactivated:
I can do I/O to and from /dev/sd0c just fine.  It's just that the
disklabel doesn't take effect.  I can write the disklabel with no
errors:  Ditto for reading it.  But when I type:
"newfs /dev/sd0a"  I get:
"newfs: /dev/sd0a: open: Device not configured."
So, the dislabel doesn't take effect.  I'll go try finding the kernel
source anyway, (Where was it at?)
