Well, good news. By running completely off my NFS server I've been building
1.3.3 since about 4PM (5.3 hrs) without interruption. When I run off disk
it hangs in just under 10 minutes so its pretty reproducible. I've started
looking through the driver sources to see if there is an unmatched spl()
somewhere but if anyone is familar with this code and wants to suggest
where to start that would be good too ... :-)
