Well, solutions happen if you hack long enough.

 PROBLEM: Invalid file types
SOLUTION: The 4K NetBSD/vax files are new in the snapshot release. The
	   file command won't recognize them without updated magic file.

 PROBLEM: Kernel fails to boot, stops with ?06 HLT INST
SOLUTION: Bad boot.mpp install (link was broken in a tar
	   operation so replacing boot.mop did not change
	   what 08002b...SYS was pointing to (as it was no
	   longer a link.)
