port-vax: VR319 on a VS2000?

A (rather dumb) question: can a VR319 monitor (19" monochrome, used 
on the VXT2000) be used on a VS2000 with 4-plane graphic adapter? I
don't have a cable for the VS2000 <-> color monitor connection, just
the one for the mono graph, can I use that? (do I need to pull out the
4-plane card?)
