Do you mean the thing that picks up the tape leader?  Are you sure
it's broken?  Sometimes they slip off the hook that holds them, and
need to be pulled back in place.  If it is broken, DEC probably still
sells replacements, but you might do better to look for another TK50
on the second-hand market...
