port-vax: KLESI-SA/TU81 doesn't work

I have a 3500 now running 1.3.2 but will not see the TU81 tape controller.
I believe that it is a TMSCP type (KLESI-SA, aka M7740-PA) but is not listed
in the hardware compatibility list.  Has anyone gotten one of these to work
with 1.3.2?
