Yes and no. I just got a VS4000 model 90 and have been nagging an old
friend at DEC Norway for docs. He is very positive and is doing his
best. The problem seems to be that these machines are fairly recent (the
VS4000 m60 and m96 are still made, see
http://www.digital.com/vax/products/vax4000workstation.html) so getting
all the gory low-down details might be difficult. Anyway, he's still
trying.
The 4000m90 and 4000m60 are more or less identical except for graphics
hardware and CPU (KA49 vs. KA46). The 4000m30 (4000VLC) is a different
beast (KA440?). See

The VAX4000 m200 (and 100, 300, 500 and so on) are entirely different
beasts. Different CPUs, different busses, different everything.
