FYI, using micovaxIIs back in '87 we were getting an easy 100k per second
after protocal overhead to printservers using DECnet.
Until they get the DMA right the data rates will be poor. It should be
possible to do better on 3100s as microvaxIIs are not the faster members
of the small vaxen.
