Well, Alpha is RISC too, and runs VMS. I don't see any reason VMS
_couldn't_ have been ported to MIPS. Just that it wasn't.

Gee, you're on a NetBSD list and you didn't even consider that NetBSD
might support it? :-) The DECstation 3100 and 5000 series, at least, are
supported (the port is called "pmax").
