I'm violating the NetBSD bases of the list, I know... but I'm wondering
if any of you have or would recommend the Montagar hobbyist's VMS
distribution?

  I'm one of those 3400 people, so NetBSD won't cut it for me completely.
A VMS primer would be a good thing too; while I've used VMS, I've never
run VMS or tried to install it.
