I've been trying to compile something on the SCSI drive on a VS3100
(KA42), and gcc seems to run but do nothing, ctrl-c breaks this. If I try
fsck /dev/sd0a, it starts to fsck but gets as far as.
peyote# fsck /dev/sd0a
** /dev/rsd0a
** Last Mounted on /mnt/root
** Phase 1 - Check Blocks and Sizes
... Then it locks up completely (doesn't even respond to ping)
I've been getting messages in the logs like:
Feb 21 18:43:39 peyote /netbsd: DMA incomplete: ntrans=15872/16384,
lock=98
Feb 21 18:43:40 peyote /netbsd: si_dma_stop: timeout?
Is this a known problem with scsi on VS3100? Will the PIO kernel fix the
problem?
Regards,
Dave.
