I could come up with a nasty little toggle-switch thingie to not apply
power to the drive until after the self-test.
Kinda like the run/stop switches on RA81s...
(I have one of those, on my PDP-11/44. Too bad I can't attach it to the
uV2k, I would have a harddisk bigger than the computer...
(Of course, that would kinda kill the lets-make-it-portable idea...)
