  That is *not* a lot of power, man.  In my neighborhood, that works
out to a little less than ten bucks per month if left on 24x7.  And my
3100m38, even with an older scsi drive inside, draws a measured
0.8A...which would be closer to $5/mo.

  There's an '8700 in my kitchen that has five pins in its 4" diameter
power connector...each of which is about the size of a pinky finger.
*That* is a lot of power. :)
