Subject: v1.3 Up and Running - Woo Hoo!

I've finally gotten NetBSD-vax 1.3 running on my uvII - Many Many Many thanks to all those who
answered questions for me. I finally ended up fixing the "download boot causes panic" problem by
newfs'ing ra0a and starting over - but that uncovered a little annoyance. Apparently, my BA123 ain't
as new as it once was. It didn't like having both RD54's on one ps and the TK50 on the other...
without fail, just after un-tar-ing base.tgz, I would suddenly lose power for a few seconds. I moved
one RD54 to the second ps, and now it works fine. Shouldn't either ps be able to support two HD's?
Anyway, it's booting by itself, and completely, although I still need to replace the DEQNA with a
DELQA to see if it gets rid of the overun problem.I >do< have a DELNI... what would happen if I had
both ethernet cards, and connected both to the DELNI.. double the bandwidth? heh heh heh...
kidding...
Can anyone help me with setting up PPP to dial out? I'm hoping to use this machine as a router to my
ISP (who has happily supplied me with a 2-machine subnet) and have it serve my Win95 PC, since Win95
regrettably doesn't come with an IP router/gateway.. (grumble grumble) and nobody seems to make an
aftermarket one... (grumble grumble) unless I wanna go proxy, which I don't.
One other note... unix newbe question (for which I expect to get soundly chastized) - I get that I
need to make a link from /etc/localtime to the correct timezone file... but... how do I make a link?
(blush)
