Well, it does work fine, as long as your MFM hard drive doesn't have
any errors.  There's a considerable amount of work to be done to add
automatic bad-block replacement.

I do realize that it's long been a limitation of most Unices that the
disk media have to be perfect, and that traditionally the reliability
of a driver which can automatically revector bad blocks has not been
considered desirable.  But even getting BAD144 bad-block revectoring
done would be a huge step forward!
