How about the 386 or 486?  after all Microvax-II is 1985 technology and 
comparing it to a Pentium is like comparing a P-51 fighter to a jet of 
10 years later.  The peintium races the 7000 or Alpha series in a fair 
match.  Then again comparing it to anything intel had in 1985 isn't likely 
to be fair to intel.  Since comparing it to PCs is likely then what 
PC(cpu) has about the same performance?
