I'm using the time off from work sensibly; I'm trying to build a
-current kernel on my VS2K at home. ;-)
I don't get very far:
[...]
cc -O2 -Werror -I. -I../../../../arch -I../../../.. -nostdinc
-DEXEC_AOUT -DEXE
C_SCRIPT -DVAX410 -DDDB -DKTRACE -DINET -DFFS -DLFS -DMFS -DNFS -DFDESC
-DKERNFS
-DNULLFS -DPROCFS -DUMAPFS -DUNION -DQUOTA -DFIFO -DNFSSERVER -DSYSVMSG
-DSYSVS
EM -DSYSVSHM -DCOMPAT_43 -DCOMPAT_09 -DCOMPAT_10 -DCOMPAT_11 -DCOMPAT_12
-DTCP_C
OMPAT_42 -DLKM -DMAXUSERS=8 -D_KERNEL -D_VAX_INLINE_ -c param.c
cc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 4
*** Error code 1
Stop.
I'm currently running the 1.3A snapshot and haven't managed to build a
kernel since I upgraded. On 1.2G (I think it was) on the same hardware I
had no problems.
The machine is a VAXstation 2000 with 6MB, running from a local RD54 but
with the source tree (/usr/src) mounted via NFS. I have 16MB of swap on
the local disk and it is being used, so that shouldn't be the
problem(?):
hybelvax:~# pstat -s
Device 1K-blocks Used Avail Capacity Priority
/dev/rd0b 16720 3297 13423 20% 0
Any ideas?
