That's the ELKS project or Embedded Linux Kernal.  Also there is UZIunix
ported to z80.  I can't see anyreason why a PDP-11 can't run *bsd other 
than the work required to do either overlays or swapping.  However, I think
the vax version will need to get working on common platforms first.
