Oops. In my previous message I said I cleared up the problem of the 512
fixed block format by a simple copy to the fixed 512 block file template.
That line ashould have read:

COPY /OVERLAY TK50-FILEx-12G.     TEMPLATE.    where x=(1,2)

I realize it isn't much but the last thing I want to do is introduce
further complications if someone else attempted the same solution. For all
I know the original solution may have been the reason for my miniroot
failure.
