Hi Brian:
Further to my last message, here's what I am seeing on my mopd
output. I'm not sure what the client should do after the bootserver
sends the ASV.
Extract:
MOP DL 8:0:2b:7:a3:6d > ab:0:0:1:0:0 len 18 code 08 RPR
MOP DL 0:0:1b:39:2c:67 > 8:0:2b:7:a3:6d len 1 code 03 ASV
MOP DL 8:0:2b:7:a3:6d > ab:0:0:1:0:0 len 18 code 08 RPR
MOP DL 0:0:1b:39:2c:67 > 8:0:2b:7:a3:6d len 1 code 03 ASV
MOP DL 8:0:2b:7:a3:6d > ab:0:0:1:0:0 len 18 code 08 RPR
MOP DL 0:0:1b:39:2c:67 > 8:0:2b:7:a3:6d len 1 code 03 ASV
It looks like the VS2000 (in this case, the 3100 is not different) is
doing the RPR, the FreeBSD box replies with ASV, then the client
simply retries after a suitable timeout period (it's about 30
seconds).
As stated in my last message, this problem may be FreeBSD config
related. If you could email me the mopd output from a successful boot
or two this would likely help. Once I have it working then I will
document the FreeBSD config differences for your HowTo.
Thanks,
Kevin
