yes... well, that is, Bertrams kernel boots ok, (although telling me 
le0: device timeout from time to time) but of course doesn't correctly
work with the SCSI, which is why I wanted build my own kernel and proceed
to a polled one (it recognizes the disks ok during autoconfiguration, so
non-dma scsi access works fine).
