I'm now located a few thousand kilometres from home and my
VAXen. I don't have any files with me here and rarely have net access.
Anyways, that connector is the three pin connector that has a two wire
printed circuit cable which goes into the internals of the drive. Keeep
it disconnected during spinup and connect it a few seconds after operating
RPM is reached.
BTW. If somebody has a copy of a previous, more detailed message that I
wrote on the subject, feel free to send it to whoever wants it or to the
list.
BTW2. I think I'll have to unsubscribe now because too much stuff from
the list piles up. If you want to reach me, e-mail me. I'll be back in
mid August.
