Finally, all the compiles and installation are done for 1.2G.  Of course
now I need to update it to keep current :-\

The problems I'd been experiencing on my VS3100 with NFS mounting on top
of my NFS root directory have disappeared now that I've recompiled all my
utils.

1.2G is a good thing.  It has sort of a smooth and creamy feel to it.
Snapshot anyone?
