Booooooo!!!  Stinky old stable VMS.  Where's your sense of adventure?
Where's your sense of participation and creation?  At least with
NetBSD/VAX (and someday even VAX/Linux) we're all given the chance to
contribute to the improvement of those systems.  But I guess in the
end it's a matter of personal mindset and personal needs.

For me only being a system end-user just plain sucks.
